Exploring the Mechanisms of Eco-cultural Collaborative Governance in the Context of Rural Revitalization: A Case Study of Linpu Historic and Cultural Village

  • Objective/Meaning Against the backdrop of advancing rural revitalization, this study seeks to resolve the development dilemmas faced by villages endowed with both natural and cultural resources in ecological, cultural, and economic dimensions, and to explore a new governance pathway that integrates ecological protection and cultural inheritance. Method/ProceduresTaking Linpu Ancient Village in Fuzhou, Fujian Province as a case, a mixed-method approach combining field surveys, structured questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews was employed to systematically analyze its resource endowments, policy orientations, and current governance conditions.
Results/Conclusions The study constructs an Eco-cultural Collaborative Governance (ECCG) mechanism, which consolidates the social foundation through public participation synergy, reinforces the material base through resource utilization synergy, activates the driving engine through economic development synergy, and strengthens institutional safeguards through organizational management synergy. This mechanism helps to address such practical challenges as an unsound governance system, lagging resource utilization and industrial development models, unbalanced advancement of ecological protection and cultural inheritance, and insufficient integration of Agri-cultural Tourism. The ECCG mechanism aims to provide a governance paradigm for similar villages that emphasizes dialectical coordination and adaptation to local endowments, thereby fostering a new pattern of rural development in which ecology and culture coexist and mutually reinforce each other, and facilitating the transformation and upgrading of rural revitalization toward high-quality development.
