Study on Countermeasures for the Integrated Agricultural Development between Fujian and Taiwan from the Perspective of Industry-Education Integration and Cultural Empowerment

Objective/Meaning The integrated agricultural development between Fujian and Taiwan is an important component of the construction of the Cross-Strait Integrated Development Demonstration Zone. Industry-education integration and cultural empowerment can provide core support for cultivating young talents for Fujian-Taiwan agricultural integration.

Methods/ Procedures This paper systematically analyzes the practical foundation of Fujian-Taiwan integrated agricultural development, explores its development bottlenecks, and puts forward targeted countermeasures.

Results/Conclusions The study shows that phased achievements have been made in industrial complementarity, joint talent training and grassroots exchanges for Fujian-Taiwan agricultural integration. Nevertheless, there remain challenges including the shallow level of industry-education integration, insufficient exploration of the shared farming culture of Fujian and Taiwan, and poor implementation of relevant policies. In terms of industry-education integration, the talent training mechanism is incomplete, curricula fail to keep pace with the development of modern agriculture, and Taiwan enterprises have low participation. For cultural development, communication forms are monotonous, long-term exchange channels are lacking, and young people from Taiwan have limited understanding of the farming origins shared by Fujian and Taiwan. To address these deficiencies, countermeasures are proposed, including improving industry-education integration platforms, building exchange channels for cross-strait agricultural talent training, exploring the connotation of shared farming culture and promoting the inheritance of farming education, optimizing the mechanism of policy publicity and transmission, and perfecting supporting guarantees for the agricultural industrial chain.
