Empirical Analysis on the Empowerment of Digital Economy on the Development of Forestry Industry in Fujian

Objective/Meaning With the rapid development of information technology, the digital economy has become the important force to promote the transformation and upgrading of the forestry industry. The interaction between the digital economy and the forestry industry in Fujian Province was studied in this paper, in order to promote the digital transformation and upgrading of forestry enterprises in Fujian, and explore the path to solve the dilemma of forestry development in Fujian Province.

Methods/Procedures The entropy method was used to measure the development levels of the digital economy and the forestry industry in Fujian Province from 2014 to 2022. Based on this, the Pearson and Kendall rank correlation coefficients were used to calculate the correlation between the two. Furthermore, the grey relational analysis method was used to explore the specific impacts of the digital infrastructure, the scale of digital business, and the innovation of digital technology on the development of the forestry industry.

Results/Conclusions The research results showed that from 2014 to 2022, both the digital economy and the forestry industry in Fujian Province exhibited a significant rising tendency, with a very strong positive correlation between them. The digital infrastructure had the greatest impact on the development of the forestry industry in Fujian, highlighting its core role in promoting the digital transformation of forestry. The scale of digital business and the innovation of digital technique also had significant positive impacts on the development of the forestry industry. However, due to the need for time to cultivate the market demand and transform the scientific and technological achievements, their effects in the short term were not as obvious as that of the digital infrastructure.
