Strategic Analysis on the Development of ‘Black Pearl’ Wax Apple,
a Taiwan Special Agricultural Product

Taiwan has vast experiences on using effective measures, such as, the application of various agricultural resources, the combination of human resources, and the development of creative agriculture and innovation service, to promote the rapid improvement of additional value in its special agricultural product’s industry. This paper analyzed the development strategy of Taiwan ‘black pearl’ wax apple, and its developing route from four aspects, including strength, weakness, opportunity and threats. Finally, some suggestions on the crossstrait cooperation in wax apple industry have been put forward from two levels.
