SWOT Analysis on the Development of Financial Industry in Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone

As the heart of modern economy, Finance plays a key role in the economic and social development. The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats on the development of financial industry in Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone were analyzed with the SWOT analysis tool in this paper. Based on the SWOT quantitative analysis model developed in this study, the strategic positioning of financial industry development in Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone were further analyzed. Results indicated that the opportunistic strategy should be applied to the development of financial industry. Finally, the countermeasures and suggestions were put forward.
