Countermeasures of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences
Serving the West-Strait Agricultural Modernization

Building the west coast of Taiwan straits economic zone is a strategic policy of the Party Central Committee. Promoting modern agriculture development plays an important and essential part in the process of building the West-strait economic zone. With a recognition of the realistic significance of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences on serving the West-strait economic zone’ s agricultural modernization, and utilization of the academy’ s advantages of technology, talent and information, we proposed several countermeasures which may contribute to the modern agriculture development in West-strait in this paper, including cultivating new farmers, agricultural sci-tech research on the practical issues, strengthening the innovation ability of agricultural sci-tech, improving agricultural scientific achievements transformation and strengthening sci-tech exchanges and cooperation.
