Objective/Meaning In combination with the development concept of “new stage, new concept, new pattern”proposed by the the CPC Central Committee on rural revitalization in the new era and the new requirements for improving the quality of rural human settlement environment, the construction of rural landscape and its management & operation mode in the high-level urbanization areas in the new era were explored by taking Qikeng Village in Jinjiang City as an example, so as to provide countermeasures for the rural revitalization.
Methods/Procedures By using the methods of field investigation and literature review, the dilemma of rural development and the demand of revitalization in Jinjiang were analyzed, and then the construction and operation management modes of rural landscape were put forward.
Results/Conclusions The results showed that there were some problems in the rural development of Jinjiang City, such as the comprehensive management of human settlements, the regeneration and utilization of rural space, and the connection between local landscape and traditional cultural awareness. Hereby, the construction patterns of rural landscape with the type of ecological restoration, industrial service, new rural community public service and cultural service were put forward. Then, based on the rural grid management, the operation mode of landscape management was innovated, and the rural landscape was endowed with multiple functions such as health, leisure, education, culture, ecology and production, so as to form a “suitable” revitalization of the countryside that was “suitable for living, raising and traveling”.
