Theoretical Logic and Practical Exploration of Science and Technology Courtyards Empowering the Construction of Learning-oriented VillagesA Multi-case Analysis Based on Fujian Province

  • Objective/Meaning  The study aimed to explore the paths and mechanisms of the construction of learning-oriented villages empowered by science and technology courtyards, enrich the theoretical system of rural learning ecology, and provide implementable references for practical development.
Methods/Procedures  Eight typical science and technology courtyards in Fujian Province were selected for the multi-case study. By using the methods of interviews, observations and literature induction, and based on the framework of “subject activation - process interaction - effect manifestation”, the mechanisms of knowledge flow, skill improvement, network construction and common body shaping were analyzed.
Results/Conclusions  The results showed that “zero-distance” rooted interaction was the key to building trust and promoting the application of knowledge. The “learning by doing” industrial integration model was the core for stimulating the initiative in learning. The diverse network constructed by the Science and Technology Courtyard as a hub has enriched the learning ecosystem. Several suggestions were put forward including deepening the construction of farmers’ subjectivity, solidifying the outcomes of process interaction, promoting the circulation of learning capital, and ensuring the sustainability of the learning ecosystem.
