Objective/Meaning This study aimed to discuss how to drive the transformation and upgrading of economic structure and the high-quality development of Fujian Province through the scientific and technological innovation under the background of globalization and rapid development of science and technology, in order to provide practical reference and decision-making basis for the local governments to formulate the effective scientific and technological innovation policies, industrial upgrading paths and high-quality development strategies.
Methods/Procedures The research status of competitive intelligence and scientific and technological innovation at home and abroad was summarized by means of the methods such as literature investigation, policy analysis and network information collection. Then, the relationship between the two and the role of competitive intelligence in scientific and technological innovation were discussed.
Results/Conclusions The research showed that tthe competitive intelligence could provide support for the decision-making, process management and achievement transformation of scientific and technological innovation in Fujian Province. Accordingly, the corresponding optimization strategies were put forward including enhancing the capacity building of competitive intelligence, strengthening its application support in the evaluation of scientific and technological innovation, establishing the mechanism-oriented scientific and technological innovation exchange platform, and strengthening the construction of safety supervision system for the competitive intelligence work and scientific and technological innovation platform, thus to promote the development of scientific and technological innovation in Fujian.
