  • Objective/Meaning  By exploring the integrated development model of agriculture between Fujian and Taiwan from the perspective of resource complementarity, it aimed to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for promoting the common prosperity of agricultural economy in Fujian and Taiwan. This model not only could provide new impetus for the increase of farmers’ income, the upgrading of agricultural industries and the development of regional economy in Fujian and Taiwan, but also help to promote the construction of demonstration zones for the cross-strait integration and development.
Methods/Procedures  By using the methods of literature analysis, historical review and status analysis, the complementarity of agricultural resources between Fujian and Taiwan was analyzed, and the challenges faced by deepening the integrated development of agriculture between Fujian and Taiwan were explored. Then, the mode of integrated development of agriculture between Fujian and Taiwan from the perspective of resource complementary was put forward.
Results/Conclusions  The results showed that Fujian and Taiwan had significant complementarity in natural resources, technological level, and marketing. Deepening the integrated development of agriculture between Fujian and Taiwan faced many challenges, such as the policy obstacles, market risks, and technological bottlenecks. Therefore, the integrated development model of agriculture between Fujian and Taiwan from the perspective of resource complementarity was constructed, including the framework design, practice path, operational mechanism and implementation strategy.
