Analysis on the Coupling Relationship Between the Ecological Sustainability and High-quality Economic Development in Fujian Province

  • Objective/Meaning This paper aimed to explore how to realize the coordinated development of ecological sustainability and high-quality economy in Fujian Province, and put forward some policy suggestions, in order to promote the upgrading and transformation of industrial development in Fujian Province.
    Methods/Procedures The entropy method was used to calculate the weight of each index, and then the coupling coordination degree model was selected to calculate the coupling coordination degree of ecological sustainability and the high-quality economic development in Fujian Province from 2011 to 2022. Finally, the grey correlation method was used to analyze the correlation degree between the index and the coupling coordination degree.
    Results/Conclusions The results showed that there was significant coupling coordinated relationship between the ecological sustainability and the high-quality economic development in Fujian Province. The overall coupling and coordination degree tended to develop good, and the coordination level was excellent. According to the grey correlation method, the three indicators that had the greatest impact on the coupling coordinated degree were the production amount of industrial solid waste, value added of the primary industry, nature reserve area and per capita cultivated land area. Therefore, some countermeasures and suggestions were put forward, such as coordinating and developing the ecological economy, improving the development operation mechanism, building the intelligent agriculture, integrating and promoting the ecotourism projects, etc.
