Abstract: With the severer aging population, there are more and more elderly people in Fujian nowadays. The aging of population will have a great impact on the consumption structure. The results of the gray correlation analysis showed that the degree of association between the population aged 60 and above and each consumption item was sorted by the descending order, namely, food and alcohol & tobacco, health care, clothing, other goods and services, education and cultural entertainment, transportation and communication, daily necessities and services, living, etc. Then, the countermeasures were put forward including developing the food for elderly people, clothing, health care, education and entertainment, etc., and adjusting the consumption structure, in order to play the role of consumption in promoting the economic development.
