Abstract: 【Objective/Meaning】The exploration of the technological path of modern agricultural transformation is conducive to the restoration,protection and sustainable use of land resources in China and giving full play of its ecosystem service function.【Methods/Procedures】Based on the importance of land resources,the influence of land use and its spatial pattern changes on the ecosystem service function at home and abroad was reviewed by literature analysis.【Results/Conclusions】The main characteristics of land use change in China have changed from the largescale development mode dominated by human beings to the parallel mode of development and protection.The general trend was manifested as the decreases of cultivated land area mainly caused by the decreases of paddy field in south China.In the southeast coastal and inland areas with flat terrain in China,the land used for the urban and rural construction,which was characterized by occupying the high-quality cultivated land,has increased significantly.In the central and western regions of China,through the implementation of the policy of“returning farmland to forest”,the forestland area showed an increasing trend.In northeast China and northwest China,driven by the climate change and comparative interests,a large number of grasslands have been converted into farmland,while the total grassland area has been decreasing in this situation.It was suggested that we should strengthen the theoretical research and implement the strict strategy of economical and intensive land use,and attach importance to carrying out the research work on the ecological transformation of modern agriculture and the construction of an adaptive comprehensive agricultural system model and its countermeasures.
