Abstract: Taking Zhangzhou City of Fujian Province as the research object, the extension modes of agricultural technology in the new period were summed up through field investigation, and the existing problems were analyzed. It was found that the system of sci-tech special commissioners had such problems as unclear orientation, unstable team members, unbalanced regional distribution of agricultural technology extension force, difficult technology extension for agricultural technology research institutes, farmers’ poor ability to accept new technologies, etc . Based on these problems mentioned above, the countermeasures were put forward including clearing the orientation of sci-tech special commissioners, balancing the regional distribution of agricultural technology extension force, adopting the new agricultural technology extension mode and encouraging college students to return to their hometowns.
