Abstract: After forestry reform, the contradiction between forest protection and foresters’ livelihood has gradually appeared. How to increase the income of foresters on the basis of forest protection and coordinate the development between them became the key and difficult point to solve the contradiction. Based on the investigation of forest families in Qishan National Forest Park of Fujian, the remarkable effects of forest families in promoting forest protection, improving foresters’ livelihood, collaborating the contradiction between forest protection and foresters’ livelihood were discussed. Then, the countermeasures were put forward to further promote the coordinated development between forest protection and farmers’ livelihood.
