Abstract:
Objective/Meaning As the first home for Taiwanese farmers and enterprises to “land” in mainland China, Fujian has introduced innovative financial support policies to assist Taiwanese farmers in developing agriculture on the mainland. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of Fujian’s agricultural financial support policies for Taiwanese enterprises, explores directions for policy optimization, and provides recommendations for further promoting cross-strait agricultural integration.
Methods/Procedures Based on field visits and questionnaire surveys, this paper analyzes the current status and challenges of policy promotion, implementation, and application in Fujian’s financial support initiatives, focusing on the agricultural suitability of the policies and the extent to which Taiwanese farmers’ financing needs are met.
Results/Conclusions The study finds that while Fujian has achieved some success in supporting agriculture financially, there are still shortcomings in policy awareness, coverage, fund disbursement efficiency, and difficulties in financing for small-scale farmers. The paper recommends enhancing policy publicity, innovating financial products, optimizing financing channels, and encouraging cooperation between Taiwanese farmers and mainland enterprises to improve policy effectiveness and further promote cross-strait agricultural integration.
