Abstract: The new professional farmers are the main body of agricultural production and operation, they are the key to solving the problems——“who farming”, “how farming” in the future. This paper summarized the concept, category and quality requirement of the new professional farmers. The relationships between new professional farmers and agricultural modernization and how to let the young farmers stay in rural areas were analyzed. Based on the analysis, this paper put forward the cultivation mechanism of the new professional peasants.
