Abstract: This paper analyzes the current situation of carbon emission reduction of Fujian based on Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone, and explores its restrictions from the aspects such as economy structure, industry structure, economic development mode and energy structure, etc.The results showed that the progress of carbon emission reduction in Fujian was restrained due to the faultiness of industry structure, seeking the high growth of economic, the restraint of energy supply and consumption structure, as well as the faultiness of related policies and measures. Base on the analysis, this paper put forward the countermeasures to promote the progress of carbon emission reduction in Fujian.
