Abstract:
Farmer’s specialty cooperatives have important functions in promoting agricultural development and improving farmer’s income. One of the main tasks of farmer’s specialty cooperatives is to find out the needs of farmers. We interviewed 500 households from the administrative villages of Yong’an City, Fujian province. The survey results showed that the following factors had significant influence: the awareness level, the proportion of agricultural product income to the total household income, and the effectiveness of the farmers' specialty cooperatives for meeting the needs of farmers, etc.
