Abstract: Fujian has always been a famous province for her tea production. The tea industry of Fujian has an important influence on that of Taiwan since Ming and Qing Dynasty. The mode of interaction and developing path of tea industry between Fujian and Taiwan play an important role in the world tea industry. Thus, much needs to be excavated with regard to its academic value. Moreover, a number of well-known tea businessmen emerged during the developing process of tea industry in Fujian and Taiwan since Ming and Qing Dynasty. Their management thought and achievement still have guidance for the current development of China's tea industry. This paper makes a systematic and comprehensive literature review on the history of tea industry in mainland China and Taiwan since the Ming and Qing dynasty. Further, this paper puts forward suggestions to deepen and expand the research area from four aspects: promoting friendship through tea, advocating business-oriented philosophy, emphasizing on technique and learning from history.
