Abstract: Since 1991, Taiwan started “Rich and Beautiful Village” construction and has achieved notable effects today. It is of practical importance in learning the successful experiences and practices from “Rich and Beautiful Village” construction of Taiwan, while standing on the facts of the new countryside construction in Fujian and accelerating the pace of reform and institutional innovation. The learning shall improve content of the new rural construction in Fujian, promote agricultural upgrade and rural development, and improve farmers’ living standards. This paper analyzed the characteristics and experience of Taiwan’s “Rich and Beautiful Village” construction and, in combination with the main problems of new countryside construction in Fujian Province, put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to promote the construction of new countryside in Fujian Province.
