Abstract: The article reviewed the policy environment for promoting the development of Taiwan's agricultural biotechnology and elaborated the successful results achieved in agricultural biotechnology development and the overview of industrial development in Taiwan. The management structure and management policies of the biosafety about genetically modified in Taiwan were analyzed as well. Finally, the paper summarized the priorities and trends of the future development of agricultural biotechnology in Taiwan.
