Abstract: The rural area is not only the emphasis of the social management and development, but also of the livelihood issues. With regard to the current status of rural social management, the paper gives some suggestions including the overall planning of urban and rural areas, paying attention to the construction of service facility, service capability and social community, playing full roles of social organization at the basic level, and developing social work professionals, which will improve the capabilities of dealing with rural social conflicts and solving social problems.
