Abstract:
As an innovative extension of the Science and Technology Commissioner system, Science and Technology Small Farms serve as vital platforms for rural industrial revitalization. Agricultural technology extension remains a cornerstone function of these facilities, playing a pivotal role in driving rural development. This study examines selected Science and Technology Small Farms established in Fujian Province from 2019 to 2025. Through field research and questionnaire analysis, it reveals that these farms have achieved remarkable results in advancing rural industries, enhancing technology transfer efficiency, cultivating agricultural professionals, and innovating science communication approaches. However, challenges persist including underdeveloped coordination mechanisms, insufficient performance evaluation systems, uneven resource distribution, and inadequate funding support. The research proposes targeted recommendations: optimizing collaborative frameworks, strengthening goal-oriented management, promoting balanced development, and increasing financial allocations.
