Abstract:
Objective/Meaning The Maritime Silk Road culture is a unique cultural resource in coastal villages. Exploring its internal logic, practical dilemmas, and optimization pathways for empowering the common prosperity holds significant strategic importance for revitalizing the rural economies, cultivating the cultural confidence, and promoting the social harmony.
Methods/Procedures By using the methods of literature analysis and field investigation, and taking the villages of Quanzhou in Fujian Province as the research object, the triple value implications of the Maritime Silk Road culture, namely the ethics of risk sharing, affectively embedded capital, and the tradition of justice-based self-governance, were systematically sorted out. Furthermore, the structural dilemmas such as the disruption of inheritance chains, social cognitive biases, and institutional supply obstacles were deeply analyzed.
Results/Conclusions The results showed that: the Maritime Silk Road culture could be effectively transformed into the incremental resources of rural common prosperity by repairing the inheritance chain, activating the social capital and improving the institutional guarantee. At the same time, the practical pathways were put forward, such as cultivating the new generation of inheritors, protecting the cultural space, strengthening the “affective embeddedness” of overseas Chinese capital, building a common prosperity credit system, and improving the cross-regional planning and diversified investment and financing mechanisms, so as to provide reference for the coastal villages to achieve the common prosperity of material and spirit.
