农村人口老龄化对农业全要素生产率的影响研究

Study on the Impact of Rural Population Aging on Agricultural Total Factor Productivity

    目的/意义 在我国农村人口老龄化程度持续加深、对传统农业生产模式构成严峻挑战的背景下,探究其如何影响农业全要素生产率对于推动农业现代化至关重要。
    方法/过程 基于2012—2023年中国省级面板数据,探究农村人口老龄化对农业全要素生产率的影响。
    结果/结论 研究发现:老龄化对农业全要素生产率存在显著直接抑制效应;但同时通过“倒逼”机制促进技术装备投入,进而发挥正向中介作用。此外,该机制受农业机械化渗透率的门槛调节,跨越临界值后促进效果显著增强。建议通过发展适老化智慧农业与社会化服务,以新质生产力激活农业现代化动力,应对老龄化挑战。

     

    Abstract:
    Objective/Meaning Under the specific background where the degree of rural population aging in China is continuously deepening, which poses severe and rigorous challenges to the traditional agricultural production models, it is very important to explore how it affects the agricultural total factor productivity (TFP) for promoting the overall process of agricultural modernization.
    Methods/Procedures Based on the provincial level panel data in China from 2012 to 2023, the impact of rural population aging on the agricultural total factor productivity was explored.
    Results/Conclusions  The study found that aging had a significant direct inhibitory effect on the agricultural total factor productivity; but at the same time, it promoted the investment of technical equipment through the anti-driving mechanism, and then played a positive intermediary role. In addition, the mechanism was regulated by the threshold of the penetration rate of agricultural mechanization, and the promotion effect was significantly enhanced after crossing the threshold. Based on these findings, it was suggested that policy strategies should focus on strictly addressing the challenges of aging by developing the aging-adapted smart agriculture and fostering the socialized agricultural services, and activating the driving force of agricultural modernization with new quality productivity, thus to cope with the challenge of aging.
