Abstract:
Objective/Meaning Under the background of vigorously advocating the development of homestay economy, analyzing the interest demands of multiple subjects in rural homestay, and exploring the symbiotic mechanism among the stakeholders to coordinate the conflicts of interests of all involved sides, were conducive to the promotion of the rural tourism value chain and the realization of the economic value of green water and green mountain.
Methods/Procedures Based on the field survey data, the mean comparison and paired-sample T test were used to analyze the interest demands and interactive relationship of the core stakeholders in rural homestays. Then, the interest demands and order of each core stakeholder were analyzed, and the ways to realize the interest demands of each core stakeholder were explored.
Results/Conclusions The results showed that the core stakeholders of rural homestays in Yongtai had different categories of interest demands, with notable variations in the degree of attention they received. The primary interest demands of the four core stakeholders were inconsistent, and their perceptions of the importance of different demands varied. Additionally, the same demand may have different connotations, which was easy to produce the symbiotic conflicts. However, they had a common goal: the development of rural homestays should “focus on the environmental protection and service quality improvement”, which could provide the conditions for their symbiosis.
