Abstract:
Objective/Meaning The impact of technology acceptance on the willingness of rural residents to participate in the digital governance of food safety was analyzed, aiming to explore the effective ways to enhance the enthusiasm of rural residents in digital governance of food safety, and then promote the construction of rural food safety.
Methods/Procedures Based on 463 questionnaire survey data obtained from the field research in Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Sanming and Nanping of Fujian Province from May 2023 to August 2023, the theoretical model of rural residents’ willingness to use the digital governance for food safety was constructed through the User Integration Technology Acceptance Model (UTAUT), and the structural equation model was used for empirical test.
Results/Conclusions The results showed that: the social influence, effort expectation and convenience conditions all positively affected the intention of rural residents to use digital technology to participate in food safety governance, while the performance expectations would have a negative impact. And the usage intention would positively affect the use behavior. Based on these results, some suggestions were put forward, such as broadening the social network of rural residents, enhancing the usability features of existing digital technologies, optimizing the convenient channels for obtaining digital technology, and promoting the digital governance technology platform of rural food safety.
