Abstract:
Objective/Meaning Promoting the rational and orderly circulation of rural idle homesteads is conducive to revitalizing the idle resources, improving the efficiency of allocation, optimizing the rural industrial structure and increasing the income of farmers. By analyzing the impact of Internet use on the circulation behavior of rural households' idle homesteads, the path of revitalizing the rural idle homesteads was explored, in order to promote the rural development.
Methods/Procedures Based on the information diffusion effect of the Internet, and by taking the availability of information of rural households as the logical starting point, the direct and indirect influence mechanism of Internet use on the circulation of rural households' homesteads were expounded. Then, by using the data of 300 farmer households obtained from the research group in 2023, the binary logistic model and moderating effect model were used to empirically analyze the impact of Internet use on the homestead circulation behavior of rural households and the moderating effect of farmers' non-agricultural employment.
Results/Conclusions The results showed that the use of the Internet would significantly affect the circulation of homesteads, and the non-agricultural employment could enhance the positive impact of Internet use on the circulation behavior of rural households. It was suggested to improve the construction level of rural Internet infrastructure and strengthen the non-agricultural employment skills of rural households, so as to promote the orderly circulation of rural homesteads.
