Objective/Meaning Respecting and guaranteeing the main position of farmers and enhancing the subjectivity of farmers were the key to activating the endogenous vitality of rural areas and comprehensively promoting the rural revitalization. The successful experience of the “New village Movement” in the republic of Korea could be used for the reference to enhance the subjectivity of farmers in the rural revitalization in China.

Methods/Procedures By reviewing the existing literature, based on the current situation of farmers’ subjectivity under the background of rural revitalization in China, the specific practices of adhering to the role of farmers’ subjectivity and mobilizing the farmers’ subjectivity in the “New Village Movement” in the republic of Korea were analyzed in this paper , and then the path thinking for the improvement of farmers’ subjectivity in the process of rural revitalization in China was put forward.

Results/Conclusions The results showed that: in view of the successful experience of the “New Village Movement”, based on the process of Chinese-style modernization and the practical needs of rural revitalization in China, in order to enhance the subjectivity of farmers, it was necessary to adhere to the Party’s leadership in rural revitalization, clarify the relationship between the government leadership and the subjectivity of farmers, attach importance to the ideological education and guidance of farmers, and carry out the skill training, thus to help the farmers truly acquire the ability to promote the rural revitalization.
