Objective/Meaning  Under the background of the vigorous development of digital economy and the difficulties faced by agriculture, the mechanism of digital economy in promoting the agricultural development was explored in this paper, in order to provide reasonable suggestions for promoting the agricultural development and increasing the income of farmers with the power of digital economy.

  Methods/Procedures  From the perspective of industrial capital circulation, the difficulties faced by the agricultural development in the three stages of purchase, production and sales were analyzed. Then, the mechanism of digital economy in promoting the agricultural development was put forward by combining the law of digital economy and agricultural development.

  Results/Conclusions  The results showed that the promotion of agricultural development by digital economy has the mechanism of increasing the total amount of agricultural capital circulation, improving the quality of agricultural capital circulation, and accelerating the speed of agricultural capital circulation. Therefore, in the purchasing stage of agricultural capital circulation, the diversified financial services should be provided; In the production stage, the unified data sharing standard should be established; In the sales stage, the strict platform supervision should be carried out; Finally, it was necessary to formulate a reasonable development plan to effectively promote the agricultural development with the power of digital economy.
