Abstract:
Objective/Meaning The industrial integration has become a major trend in global economic development, and the integration of agriculture and tourism was also an important measure to promote the rural revitalization and the development of the whole agricultural industry chain. The study on the coupling development situation of agriculture and tourism in Xinjiang would promote the integration level and quality of agriculture and tourism in Xinjiang.
Methods/Procedures By selecting the panel data of Xinjiang from 2010 to 2021, the entropy weight method and coupling model were used to analyze the coupling condition of agriculture and tourism in the 14 prefectures of Xinjiang in the past 11 years.
Results/Conclusions The study found that the integration of agriculture and tourism in Xinjiang showed an increasing trend as a whole, but the growth trend was unstable. Moreover, the development of agriculture has lagged behind that of tourism, and there were obvious differences in the process of coupling and coordinated development among the 14 prefectures and states. Therefore, it was necessary to further clarify the government guidance and continuously narrow the development gap between agriculture and tourism, in order to improve the integration quality of the two industries.
