Objective/Meaning  Fujian and Taiwan faced each other across the sea. The natural environment of agricultural production was similar, with the natural advantages of developing the organic agriculture. The development of organic agriculture in the two places had its own characteristics and strong complementarity, so it was necessary to further promote the exchanges and cooperation.

  Methods/Procedures  Based on the analysis of the development characteristics of organic agriculture in Fujian and Taiwan, the basis and existing problems of the exchange and development of organic agriculture in the two places were discussed, and the development countermeasures for the exchange and cooperation of organic agriculture between Fujian and Taiwan were put forward.

  Results/Conclusions  The results showed that the development of organic agriculture in Fujian and Taiwan had its own characteristics. The cooperation of organic agriculture between the two places had a long history and had the basis and policy environment for the exchange and development, but there were some problems such as different standards for organic certification. Based on this, the countermeasures were put forward including giving full play to the effects of agricultural culture, optimizing the agricultural ecological environment, establishing the mutual recognition of organic agricultural products certification system between Fujian and Taiwan, developing the scale management of organic agriculture, and establishing the common market of organic agricultural products in Fujian and Taiwan.
