Objective/Meaning  The digital rural development of old revolutionary base areas Shanghang wad surveyed, the results and the deficiencies were summarized and analyzed, it would help promote the building of digital countryside and the all-round development and revitalization of rural areas.

  Methods/Procedures  This paper employed literature research, on-site visit and questionnaire to make a complete discovery to digital development course of the rural areas of Shanghang county, induced and summarized outcomes made from primary development, and analyzed and grasped existing issues and challenges. Then, it proposed corresponding strategy and measures to promote digital development in rural areas and driven rural revitalization.

  Results/Conclusions  It summarized and induced dominant outcomes and experience in terms of internet plus, food safety system building, 5G and logistics building and co-sharing business development, etc. In addition, it attached great importance to analyze and grasp issues and challenges like shortage of talents, unimproved system, low level of agricultural modernization, unbalanced industrial development and narrow promotion and application. Accordingly, it proposed to six corresponding strategies, such as strengthening construction of infrastructure, improving resident’s comprehensive quality, sounding treatment system, pushing digital development of rural industry, heightening policy support and leadership organization and driving on digital rural construction on the basis of characteristics of the county.
