Abstract:
【Objective/Meaning】Since the Tea Tasting Contest was held in Taiwan,it has played an important role in improving the quality and brand effect of Taiwan tea,increasing the income of tea farmers and tea-making technology,promoting the concept and culture of tea drinking,and driving the domestic consumption of Taiwan tea.【Methods/Procedures】By collecting and summarizing the relevant literature and data,combined with the semistructured interview with the staff of“Tea Research and Extension Station”in Taiwan,the origin and development process of the Tea Tasting Contest in Taiwan were sorted out,and the application of its relevant strategies were analyzed.Then,how Taiwan's agriculture Sector adopted the contest as a driving force to promote the development of tea industry in Taiwan was discussed.【Results/Conclusions】In the process of holding the Tea Tasting Contest in Taiwan,rather than merely advocating holding the contest for the benefit of marketing,the relevant departments have attached greater importance to the overall guiding planning and development and upgrading of the tea industry in Taiwan.By providing the technical instructions and conceptual guidance for tea farmers,and offering professional training courses for sensory evaluation,the credibility of contest evaluation could be improved;by promoting the relatively unified grading packaging exhibition in each district,the brand concept could be strengthened,by paying attention to the terminal experience of consumers,the Tea Assortment & Grading system in Taiwan could be to improved.Through the implementation of the above measures,being complementary to the Tea Tasting Contest in Taiwan,it has jointly promoted the benign development of the regional tea industry,and the relevant strategies could provide some enlightenment for the development of tea industry in the mainland.
