Abstract: 【Objective/Meaning】Under the background of the strategy of rural revitalization and by taking the scientific outlook on development as the guidance, with the sustainable development as the core, the way of tourism poverty alleviation in Xingshan Village of Xianyou County in Putian was explored by highlighting the local featured resources and giving full play to the advantages of ecological villages, in order to accelerate the completion of the difficult task of poverty alleviation and shaping Xingshan Village as a famous model village of tourism poverty alleviation in Putian City.【Methods/Procedures】Based on the case analysis method and literature research method, supplemented by interview method, by taking Xingshan Village of Xianyou County in Putian as an example, the practices and existing problems of tourism poverty alleviation in Xingshan Village were analyzed.【Results/Conclusions】Based on this, it was proposed that the rural tourism poverty alleviation in the new era should strengthen the subject consciousness of villagers, improve the infrastructure construction, innovate the financing methods, optimize the marketing, and construct a mutual aid system, so as to make the rural tourism poverty alleviation a sustainable development industry.
