Abstract:
【Objectve/Meaning】In view of the present situation of the rapid development of self-driving travel in China, by taking Xiamen residents as the survey objects, the relationship among the motivation, involvement and behavior intention of urban residents in self-driving travel was explored in order to expand the empirical cases and provide reference for the follow-up relevant research.【Methods/Procedures】Based on the relevant research results, the hypothesis of the relationship among the motivation, involvement and behavioral intention of urban residents in self-driving travel was put forward. The structural equation model was constructed. The data acquisition was carried out in the form of questionnaire investigation, and the correlation among the motivation, involvement and behavioral intention of urban residents in self-driving travel was tested by SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 21.0.【Results/Conclusions】The results showed that the motivation of self-driving travel had a significant positive influence on tourism involvement and behavioral intention, and tourism involvement had a significant positive influence on behavioral intention. Tourism involvement played a partial mediating role in the influence of self-driving travel motivation on behavioral intention. From the two aspects of tourists and tourist destination, the countermeasures were put forward including making self-driving travel plan, catering to tourists' motivation to develop different products, improving the relevant supporting facilities and services, and enhancing the image publicity of tourist destinations, etc.
