Abstract: 【Objective/Meaning】The development of hybrid rice seed industry in Jianning County plays a typical demonstration role in safeguarding the national seed industry safety, and also helps to enhance the regional agricultural industry competitiveness and increase farmers' income in Jianning.【Methods/Procedures】The hybrid rice seed production of Jianning was investigated by field investigation and literature research, and the seed industry competitiveness of Jianning was analyzed by diamond model.【Results/Conclusions】It indicated that there were natural and regional advantages, i.e., climate, soil and natural isolation conditions, farmers' seed production skills as technical advantage, and industrial competitive advantages including production varieties and market demand, for hybrid rice seed industry in Jianning; and the promotion strategy for the industrial competitiveness of Jinaning was proposed in this paper.
