Abstract: 【Objective/Meaning】The problems existed in ecological compensation of livestock and poultry breeding industry were analyzed in order to provide suggestions for constructing a reasonable mechanism for it. 【Methods/Procedures】Firstly, the basic concepts and theoretical basis of ecological compensation of livestock and poultry breeding were introduced with literature research; then based on the entropy method, the ecological compensation of poultry industry in Longyan during 2011-2016 were quantitatively analyzed and calculated, and the corresponding suggestions were proposed.【Results/Conclusions】The results showed that the ecological environment protection indices accounted for much part of the assessment indices system for poultry breeding in Longyan, the weight of which reached 76.4%, whereas the weight of economic development indices was only 23.6%. Based on the results, it was suggested to balance the relationship between ecological environment and economic benefits, pay more attention on the sustainable development of economy, and to establish a long-acting subside policy for the reasonable mechanism construction for ecological compensation of livestock and poultry breeding industry.
