Abstract: Industrial poverty alleviation is a scientific way to help farmers in poor areas get rid of poverty. In this paper, the current situation and existing problems of the poverty alleviation in Zhangzhou were analyzed in detail. With the experiences of industrial poverty alleviation in Xundian County of Yunnan Province, Changzhi City of Shanxi Province and Pingnan County of Fujian Province for reference, several countermeasures were proposed, which included making general industrial poverty alleviation planning for overall development, energetically supporting leading enterprises and cooperatives, strengthening training of vocational farmers and cultivate new-type of farmers, advocating advantageous industries and promoting the emerging industries for poverty alleviation, implementing the poverty alleviation policy by the core role of government, and strengthening technical services to provide technical support for industrial poverty alleviation.
