Abstract: At present, China has entered an aging stage, and the situation of population aging will be more severe in the next 20 years.This social issue calls for the development of the rich domestic elderly resources as far as possible for utilization.The field survey on the elder population participated in voluntary service in Fengting Village, Gutian County, Ningde City, Fujian province was conducted.The results showed that instead of the lack of initiative at the beginning, the elderly participated in community volunteer service turned positive in the cognitive, skills and attitude, and acted a positive role in community development.Thus some corresponding suggestions were put forward.
