Abstract: With the acceleration of urbanization, urban agriculture has acted in various ways. As an innovative form of organic combination of urban elements and agricultural elements, urban agricultural park has been introduced into many cities home and abroad. In this paper, the connotation and characteristics of urban agricultural park, the developing models of urban agricultural park home and abroad and its reference for Ningbo City were summarized, and the constructing foundation and basis of urban agricultural park in Ningbo were analyzed. It was indicated that Ningbo urban agricultural park should be constructed in range of 10-15 km away from the center, and be emphasized on social service function, making it the key area for citizens to learn about local farming culture, recognize characteristics of local agriculture, experience pleasure of agricultural production, enjoy agricultural landscope, and understand agricultural science and technology.
