Abstract: Urbanization, an historical mission for modernization construction of China, is the greatest potential of expanding domestic demand and the important power to promote new development. In this article, an empirical analysis on influencing factors of Fujian new urbanization were conducted based on time series data during 2000-2014 with Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The results showed that the employment rate of tertiary industry is the most important factor influencing the new urbanization level of Fujian. Meanwhile, the ratio of urban and rural income, and education and science and technology level were observed significant effects on the new urbanization level of Fujian Province.
