Abstract: The crossstrait electronic information industry has always occupied an important position in crossstrait trade and maintained a rapid growth. Based on the competitive advantage index, trade competition index and intraindustry trade index, the competition and complementation of electronic information industry between the two sides of Taiwan Strait were analyzed. The results showed that the electronic information industry of both sides had its own advantages and complemented each other. Under the newera background with implementation of ‘Three Direct Links’ and ECFA policies, the crossstrait electronic information industry was stepping into a new stage based on a winwin cooperation pattern, in which the both sides researched together, expanded the market together, and were with complementary advantages.
