Abstract:  Through the development of more than 20 years, the community building in Taiwan has accumulated rich experience, which is similar to the beautiful countryside construction in the Chinese mainland. The community building in Tugou Village of Tainan is typical and representative in Taiwan. Based on the theory of endogenous development, the experience of community building in Tugou Village was summarized, which included arousing the villagers’enthusiasm in the construction to stimulate the endogenous dynamic of community development, excavating the local characteristic resources according to the local conditions, and promoting the regional economic development with the supporting of local characteristic industries. Then, the enlightenment was gained that the beautiful countryside construction in the Chinese mainland should be towards the endogenous development, characteristic development and sustainable development.
