Abstract: The three agriculture-related issues have always been the focus of China’s development strategies, and the biggest problem in the rural development nowadays is the lack of talents. Though the policy of college-graduate village officials has effectively solved the problem, there are still some shortcomings and disadvantages existed in it, which have caused the problems in the role definition of the college-graduate village officials. The related concepts and significance of the mergence of selected graduates and college-graduate village officials were summarized in this paper. Then, the impact of the policy’s implementation on the role definition of the college-graduate village officials were comparatively analyzed to point out the shortcomings and problems that currently existed in the policy. Last, some corresponding countermeasures were put forward.
