Abstract: The Fifth Plenary Session of the Eighteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China made it clear that the strategy of strengthening the network power should be vigorously implemented during the “Thirteenth Five-year Plan” period, and also clearly pointed out the importance of agricultural informatization construction. The construction of agricultural scientific and technological knowledge service system is the realistic need of agricultural modernization in our country, the important content of the development of agricultural informatization and the effective promoter of accelerating the agricultural scientific and technological innovation. By analyzing the present situation and existing problems of agricultural scientific and technological knowledge service, and combining with the development characteristics and advantages of scientific and technological periodicals in the new period, it is put forward that scientific and technological periodicals should promote the construction of agricultural scientific and technological knowledge service system from the aspects such as constructing the network platform, personalizing service and deepening the knowledge service, etc.
