Abstract: In recent years, the multi-functional development of modern agriculture in Fuqing City has achieved initial results, which are embodied in the obvious advantages of economic production function, outstanding social security function, gradually emerged ecological & environmental functions and cultural recreation function. However, there are also some problems existed in modern agriculture, such as the lack of capital investment, insufficient breadth and depth of development, inadequate agricultural human capital, etc. Based on the above analysis, and according to the theory of agricultural multi-functionality and its connotation, the countermeasures were proposed including attracting social capital investment, innovating the management mode, expanding the breadth and depth of modern agricultural multi-functionality, and strengthening the cultivation of new-type professional farmers and modern agriculture talents.
