Abstract: Leisure agriculture has been the most successful industrial pattern to promote agricultural and rural economic development in over half a century. The development of leisure agriculture in Taiwan started earlier than that of Chinese Mainland. There are some differences in the aspects such as its definition connotation, development patterns, development course, government policies and regulations, and social participation between Taiwan and Chinese Mainland. By comparing the development of cross-strait leisure agriculture, some reference could be provided for the development of leisure agriculture in Chinese Mainland.
