Abstract: The leisure agriculture in Taiwan began in the 1960s. It has accumulated rich experience after more than 50 years of development. As one of the business entities of leisure agriculture, the development of leisure farms has been mature gradually in Taiwan. The main characteristics of the planning and design of leisure farms were summarized in this paper. Then, the conclusions were be drawn that the planning and design of leisure farms should take agriculture as the primary task, adjust measures to local conditions, plan scientifically, and focus on creative design and ecological protection, thus to provide reference for the development of leisure agriculture and farmers’ planning and construction in the Chinese mainland.
